These playful forms which have intricate and unique designs are handcrafted in Hertfordshire by Jonah Maddox using ethically sourced local wood.
Maddox makes his 'Spirit Forms' out of wet wood, so that these shapes move as they dry and may warp and crack a little. They look great on their own or as a set.
This is a Lucky Dip product, so once your order is received Maddox he will craft a unique miniature vase which could be made of any Hertfordshire wood. If you order more than one, you will receive different forms that compliment each other.
Each product is a similar size, big enough to put a flower stem in if you choose. The product photos show examples of the different 'Spirit Forms' that Maddox has made in the past to give you an idea, and the Lego lady is for scale.
Every 'Spirit Form' comes with a unique handwritten card containing care instructions and explaining more about the wood and where it came from.
These vases measure approximately 60-100mm in height.

Inspired by trees and the stories they harbour in their grain, Hertswood set out to make modern, sustainable and ethically sourced kitchenware and home decor. Each piece is hand-made by Hertswood in Hertfordshire and comes with an information card telling you what wood was used, where the tree stood and why it came down.
