Molten pendant necklace handmade in England using only 100% recycled 925 sterling silver scrap from the Ara workbench, heated until melting point, resulting in a unique, organic molten form.
Due to the nature of the process and the variation of the scrap used, no two molten pendants are the same, making each necklace a one of a kind.
The pendant is soldered onto to a recycled silver bail, also slow-made by Lauren using 100% recycled silver.
Polished to a high lustre and hung from a 100% recycled silver braided chain (18 or 20 inch).
Materials - 100% recycled 925 sterling silver, including all findings and chain.
Product Packaging - Pouch handmade in house using sustainably sourced linen and cotton thread.
Ara | the altar was created by Lauren who makes all her pieces by hand in her studio in North West England. One of the two main inspirations for her work is astronomy and nature and the result is fine jewellery for stylish everyday living. The environment is firmly at the heart of Lauren's craft with all precious metals used recycled as well as biodegradable packaged material. Ara | the altar was our first jewellery partner brand and we think that her jewellery is simply stunning whilst treading lightly on this planet.
